Sibling Support Group

***Available for CURRENT SEAA students.***

The Sibling Support Group at OASIS NC is for children (ages 7-13 years old) that have a sibling with disability.  It will be based on the Sibshops curriculum and facilitated by Maggie Mensch (M. Ed, LPC) who works as a Licensed Professional Counselor, as well as a Mental Health Consultant for the local Head Start Program.

Maggie’s background as a special education teacher gives her a unique perspective that can help her to recognize and understand the special needs of our sibling population. She has a passion for working with children and adolescents, guiding them through the complicated maze of social, emotional, and communication lessons that come with this age group. She looks forward to working with our siblings to help foster meaningful connections with each other and their families.

This group is available “on demand” only.  Please email Erika.merriman@oasisnc.org if you are interested!
