Admissions

Nice to Meet You!
Thank you for your interest in a program at OASIS NC! Wilmington is fortunate to have many organizations to choose from and we hope we can help provide you with one that best fits the needs of your family. One important thing to keep in mind is that special education programs come in many shapes and sizes. They can be offered in 1:1, small group, and/or large group settings. All three of these settings are important and needed for students at different times in their lives and all three have their advantages and limitations. Some examples of each include:
Individual
1:1 Ratio
OT, Speech, ABA, Play Therapy, ASNC, TEACCH, homeschool, tutoring
****Small Group****
4-10 students/teacher
OASIS NC programs, social groups, ASNC, TEACCH
Whole Group
20+ students/teacher
Traditional School (private or public), enrichment programs (sports, dance, theater)
While considering OASIS NC, please keep in mind that our programs were created with small group instruction in mind. We consider ourselves a "bridge" between homeschool/1:1 services and larger public/private school settings. When smaller or larger settings are needed, we work closely with families to ensure a successful transition to and/or generalization of skills.
When applying to Southeastern Autism Academy, classroom composition changes from year to year based on the needs of the students. If you are interested in applying to SEAA, these are the classrooms we anticipate being able to offer next year. Each class has 1 teacher and between 6 and 10 students... and a pup or two! Please email [email protected] for more information.
