Seaside Bagels invites two of our High School students to be interns each semester. They learn a variety of tasks and receive a paycheck! Many of our graduates have continued employment there after graduation.

UNCW Inclusive Futures Program
The Inclusive Futures Program (IFP) is a two-year, 55-hour non-degree undergraduate certificate program designed to empower students with intellectual disabilities. Upon completion, students earn the Inclusive Life Skills and Career Development Certificate. This program offers inclusive education to promote personal independence and achieve gainful employment.
Independent Works will create a safe, supportive community that promotes interdependent living for adults with Autism and other developmental and intellectual disabilities.

Bridge to Independence Program- CFCC
CFCC’s Bridge to Independence Program is designed for students with developmental disabilities who want to explore education, build job skills, and prepare for meaningful employment. We focus on helping each student discover their strengths, interests, and goals, and then provide the support needed to move forward with confidence.
To prepare college-aged students with autism spectrum disorder with the necessary skills to complete postsecondary education through academic and vocational goal attainment in college courses and transition planning. TFNC is a practical, hands-on experience with a community-centric approach as a fundamental part of daily education for success.
