STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Middle and High School Club is a course for young adults with autism. It is a unique offering and may be the first of its kind in the country. Enrolled students will engage in motivating activities that promote higher order thinking skills across the STEM fields while coupled with the development of effective socialization strategies. 4 sessions will be at OASIS NC and 4 sessions will be spent exploring STEM concepts in the community!
Dr. Dennis Kubasko, an associate professor in UNCW’s Watson College of Education and director of the Center for Education in STEM, will be designing and teaching this course in collaboration with OASIS NC.
